Curious about DOLLS!

I am not a fan of Dolls really. I owned a hand-me-down Barbie once and I can't remember ever playing too much with it. I had a bigger doll which is also a hand-me-down, that didn't have any clothes, or was it missing an arm? (yeah, picture me as a Weasley kid, that's my childhood). But since we're in the subject of Dolls, were gonna delve deep into the kinds of Dolls we know.

Claudia's Porcelain Doll in An Interview with the Vampire

They also call this Porcelain Doll a Bisque Doll. German made.

Troll Dolls!

Let's not forget. Russian Matryoshka Dolls

Your average, garden variety Barbie!

America's Next Top Model Barbies?!!

OMG. I just had to share this, my husband had a co-worker once and it's a pretty techie environment. He mentioned something about this guy who he approached to get help with his system. This tech guy he described is heavily built, dark-skinned and just oozing machismo. He didn't linger in his station for long from what I recall from his story. But when the guy left, he took a picture of his desk. That I found pretty intriguing.

These are the shots he took.
It's a pretty risky thing to do, the guy could have returned any second.

Goodness. I don't even know what to say.
The previous image I posted with the America's Next Top Model dolls, I think he's got the whole collection! (suppressed giggles!)

Okay. Enough with the bullying of the doll-loving-man.

Back to Dolls again.
Now this one is also controversial. Not only because if your caught with one, people could easily spot you as a Witch or someone probably practicing Voodoo.

It's called a Corn Husk Doll. What most medieval kids use to play around with, now considered a Witch's aid in casting a spell. But on the contrary, I see folks adding this as a table decor and I guess it depends on the look of the Corn Husk Doll, some other ones don't look scary at all, but are actually pretty decorative.

Like this other Corn Husk Doll.
Not scary now, is it? It's so pretty!

Ichitmatsu Dolls
Now this Doll, I find quite creepier than the Corn Husk.
Because the way it looks at me, I feel as if there's a curse floating about.

Look who's scary now. Said Chuckie from Child's Play

and the Bride of Chucky (Tiffany)

and the Seed of Chucky (Glen)

Ok enough with the creepy dolls.

Lalalala. Sunshine and flowers!!! :) I need to brush the creepy vibes off.

Ball Jointed Dolls usually are Modern-Asian types.
Mostly influenced by Anime and are quite realistic.

Some have customization, so they can be made to look like someone.

I know I said no more creepy dolls but these ball jointed dolls are so realistic, you can almost feel as if they are actual humans who were cursed to be dolls forever.
Think I feel a shiver run up my spine.
I guess, dolls are really not for me, the word dolls and creepy are somehow synonymous to me.

I can always stick to Teddy Bears though. That I'm OK with!

You know for someone who doesn't like dolls I surely posted a LOT of pictures here.
You may visit the image links if you want to see more of these dolls. If your image happens to belong here and is not credited, please let me know. Thanks!
